Malahide Castle

We had a wonderful castle tour of the famed Malahide Castle, which was owned by the same family for over 800 years.  The Talbots.  They donated it to the Irish State in the 1970's and it is known to be the most haunted castle in Ireland.

There's a lovely cafe and gardens, but we hit it on a rainy day and as it was only 15 minutes from our Airbnb, we figured we'd get back some other time and in better, warmer weather to view the gardens.

In this dining room, many of the agreements that put an end to "The Troubles" were hammered out with Irish leaders of the day.
