Combined Trips and Guests in 2023

There were a lot of family trips to help provide support.  I turned 64 this year and after recovering from last years' broken hip, this years heart failure from blood clots, and just plain old aging, I'm very pleased to be so needed and wanted by my kids.  And so loved.  We were in Oxford, MS to see Lindley and crew, and in Newport News by myself to sit with Lincoln and Benji while mom and dad did a wedding and delayed honeymoon of their own in the British VI, and two trips into Cali to support my son's family, which was losing his father in law to cancer.  Then my son had a catastrophic medical emergency and back I went after one week at home.

Luckily, Ken visited us from Tucson while I was in town this time. I also got to squeeze in a California visit to the incredible Rich and Jackie while I was there, before Cass got sick, and then we were able to see Rich several more times at his job at Keck USC Hospital.  It paid to know someone on staff, let me tell you.  I was in California for a little over a month this year.  VA for two weeks, Oxford, MS for a week. Baby Becca said "Gammy" on my last day there of my first trip, and then NEVER AGAIN!  Becca'll say my name when she is good and ready.  Playgrounds rock and we found a new one for Becca in CA and Benji and Lincoln in VA.
